Track One Habit for 100 Days: A Simple Challenge to Build Better Routines

Yesterday I missed my streak of tracking my habits. My highest at the moment is 6 days of tracking. James Clear talked about that being a challenge and proposed allowing systems that already track your habits automatically to do so. I believe that is true 100% and you should. I also believe you should make a conscious and aggressive effort to track your habits, at least in the beginning. This makes you more aware, and in the beginning of transforming an aspect of your life you need a lot of awareness. So this is my challenge. Focus on tracking 1 habit for 100 days straight. Keep in mind, I am not saying do 1 habit 100 days in a row. I am saying track a habit. Example: if your goal is to jog every day for 10 minutes. Even if you miss a day, track it as a missed day. Once you have established that habit of tracking, you can start packing on more habits and know that you will still track them to a large extent. Because I have noticed with new habits, that's usually th...

NO MOTIVATION TO STUDY? READ THIS.

"Why!? Eli Why?!!" My roommate playfully yelled at me as he dropped his computer game controller and clapped his hands for effect.  "Why?!"(Clap) "Eli" (Clap, Clap) "Why?!" (Clap).  It was 2:30 AM, and just about two weeks into the semester. I had woken up to the sound of my alarm, grabbed my books, and was about to head off to the study room. My roommate was baffled and couldn't see any reason why I should be heading to the study room to learn at 2:30 AM, when the semester had just started.  So, to his question, I simply smiled and replied, "You don't know where I'm coming from, you don’t know." I then continued my journey to the study room, where I had a productive study session. Who studies two weeks into the semester?  Someone who has a strong 'WHY.' Someone whose 'WHY' for wanting to perform better in school doesn't conform to the typical expectations of most university students.  You se...

YOU ARE ALREADY A LEADER, SO PRAY LIKE ONE.(My Bible Study in 1 Minute)

My Bible Study in 1 Minute Once you are praying and operating from the identity and character of Christ, you are destined for greatness. You don’t have to wait to inherit an earthly position of outward prominence and power before you start realizing that you need to ask God for wisdom for daily work and living. You are a leader. Whether you have a person or group of people following you or not, you are a leader. You might probably be wondering how? You are leading yourself to a future version of yourself that is significantly better than today. That’s what leaders do. So in your daily prayers, pray for the wisdom to discern and evaluate possible paths towards the desired outcome God has for you. As much as you can, write down the decisions you make and why you make them. When you start seeing the logic behind your decisions, it becomes easier to spot why something isn’t working as you expected and how to improve it. My Bible study today was from 1 Kings 3 . Thanks for joining me...
